BTR Controls was formed through the merger of Control Associates & Mfg.,
Inc.
and BTR Controls, Inc.
Control Associates began in 1986 as an
OEM control panel manufacturer serving the industrial door industry.
We developed programs and procedures
to bring cost effective control panel assembly to our clients. Our commitment
went beyond assembly and moved to solving the control needs of our OEM
clients. In 1989, we developed the Digital Gateway® door logic controller,
a product still being used today. It brought a new level of user-friendly
operation and success to an industry stuck in functional-only designs.

Controls was originally formed in 1999 by two control professionals to
develop and produce innovative custom industrial controllers based
on modular designs.
In 2003, the two companies merged to become the present
day BTR Controls. Our corporate offices and manufacturing are located
in a new 15,000 Sq.
Ft. facility in Elgin, Illinois.
